I was thinking about possible ways to help with the content rating issue, and something Flickr has been doing for a long time came to mind. On Flickr, users can set a default content rating for all their posts instead of having to select it every time they upload something. In my case, for example, Moderate is always my default. When I know a post can be General, I simply change it manually. Maybe Primfeed could implement something similar — allowing each user to choose their default rating in their account settings. I think this could help prevent accidental rating mistakes and, at the same time, reduce some of the moderation workload for your team. Additionally, I’d like to suggest less restrictive content ratings and more consideration of the actual context of an image. For example, I find it difficult to understand why a casual photo of me and my friends at a swimming pool should automatically be considered Moderate simply because we’re wearing swim briefs. There is nothing inherently sexual about that context. In my country, we have a saying: “If you don’t want to see the stars, don’t look at the sky.” I don’t know how large the portion of the community that feels uncomfortable with this kind of content actually is, but I do know that a significant part of the SL community sees swimwear, underwear, and the human body very naturally and enjoys expressing themselves that way. So perhaps the question is: should we cover the entire sky simply because some people are uncomfortable looking up and seeing the stars? I believe there’s room for a better balance — protecting people who don’t want to see certain content without unnecessarily restricting everyone else. Just an idea that I thought might be useful.
I think it would be a huge conveinince if you could place a time on the ‘New Post’ screen, right at the beginning, that shows how long till I can load again. Instead of going through the motions of wrting the script, headlines and laoding pix to find i cant laod yet.
It would be awesome if there were an archive photo option rather than deleting it entirely. Sometimes, there are situations where you want to remove a photo, but don't want to lose it entirely.
I’d like to see PrimFeed give users the option to designate their account as a child-avatar or child-roleplay account, with a visible tag. Once designated, those accounts would only be able to view and interact with General-rated (G) content, keeping 18+ posts off limits. For those of us who aren’t involved in child-avatar RP, there should also be an optional filter that works both ways. We wouldn’t see those accounts or related content in our feeds and recommendations, including child-avatar store items and ads. They also wouldn’t be able to view our profiles or posts, like, comment, follow, or message us. Second Life already doesn’t allow child avatars in Adult-rated regions, so I’d like to see a similar boundary here. My posts can be 18+, and I’m not comfortable with child-avatar accounts interacting with that content. Other people may feel the same way and should have the option to set that boundary too. The tag is about the avatar and the roleplay, not the person’s real age. People can enjoy their RP, and those of us who don’t want to be involved can keep it separate without having to block every account individually.
It would be very nice, when it is possible, when someone create a store for EasyBlogger, that they need to verify it with the avatar which created it, like a login code or something like that (so it can be saved in the EasyBlogger Logs and if something happen, the Real Shop owner can contact the EasyBlogger/Primfeed support to get that infos, to be able to contact Linden Labs with that infos “if as example someone meant i created it with an ALT for my Store”). It will make it more safe, that none will create a store where she/he isn’t the owner and makes problem for the real shop owner. Maybe a way (if possible) could be, that only the Real Owner Avatar can create a Store which already exist in Second Life. If a Owner from a Store has Problems with her/his Account or so and made a new one (Avatar) that they verify it with Uploads from the Store, to show it is the real Owner. New store also should be verify when they create a new and not already exist Store, like with a login code sent to this avatar, like some other second life social media does (i do not write them here, is advertising then). So those stores can also be registred to this avatar. Sure we all can never be 100% safe but it may help a little bit that no fake accounts steal already exist Store Names. If they add different stuff and all, customer will also be very unsure. Maybe (if possible) it could also work, a second way to this first idea, a store will be public after one week, when the Avatar is often online and active, listed payment infos on the avatar as well, without it is possible, sure, but it's not very common for the avatar to be able to upload things, like shop logo, items and stuff (if possible to control that).
Honestly, I have enough of seeing more and more AI generated content from people who do not have to tag it. I am requesting a mandatory tag for all AI content used by whomever, commercial, bloggers, foregrounds, backgrounds, users, all. This way those who love it can post it, and us AI haters can filter it out. Please! It´s becoming a real pain!
If this exists I apologize but I wonder if it’s possible to make feed lists so you can tailor who you wish to see? Still having an ALL Feeds option for all you follow but a curated one too? Or having the option to keep following but maybe to pause their posts? Thank you for taking time to see my post and have a great day!
For the past few weeks, there have been specific times when it’s impossible to upload images to Primfeed. It has happened twice this week (to my knowledge). When you try to upload a photo for a post, it gets stuck loadingmaking no progress and eventually, the image just disappears. This happens while other users are successfully uploading their posts, so I’m not sure what might be causing the error. I’ve asked others, and they are experiencing the same issue.
I’d love to get a notification on my phone that oh, the event I was interested in is starting. I lose track of time and dates super easily, especially since I’m not in the same time zone. A simple toggle for those that want it/don’t want it like we have other for notifications. Thanks <3</p>
It would be great to have a tab where posts you’d been mentioned in can be listed. Across the top where Gallery and Albums are would be awesome.
Hey! I had a little feature suggestion for Primfeed. Would it be possible to have custom display handles separate from our actual usernames? For example, my username is “xyz,” but I’d love to be able to have a separate @handle that I could customize, kind of like how Twitter/X does it. So the username would still stay the same for account purposes, but we could choose a custom handle that’s displayed on our profile/posts. I think it’d be a really nice way to personalize profiles without having to change our actual usernames!
I was watching a youtuber the other day and thought, huh, that’d be pretty neat to have a nice lil mesh on the wall of the home!
When map links were changed to say location, it only works on Primfeed. When I used the share link from my post and placed in Discord servers, the link text changed to a long string of numbers, letters and symbols, drowning out my post description in the preview. Can you please revert it back to slurls showing the map location like before?
Love it! I wonder if you will implement a stats with the comment/faves/repost bar to show "total views" because that would be very helpful to know what percentage of people view your photo as compared to those who view AND fave....this would be helpful for those in business, as it would enable them to tailor ads to those that garner the highest “fave” percentage from the total “views.” For the everyday casual user creating art (or if they think smut is art) it would enable them to create content that better fits what people are “faving.”
There are two visually disturbing things that have happened with the new formatting updates. There isn’t a way to put a space between a heading and the body. So it looks smashed together. The hyperlink for a website off of Primfeed shows the redirect bit. Please see the attached photo for both issues. Thank you!
The feature works fine with other web addresses, but when using it for a slurl, it keeps wanting to put the pin link rather than the hyperlink text. Copied and pasted example below. I had to do it the old way because it kept giving me the pin version. Mainstore https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wild%20Pack/207/177/23 Marketplace Primfeed Flickr Facebook Instagram
I've noticed that since recently opening up an album to be shared with other members of PF, I wanted the newest posts to be added as the cover but I've learned that they're only added in the newest order by the date they were originally posted to PF and not by the date they were added to the album. So the most recent creator's post to the album get's lost in the pile if their post was originally posted to their own PF say a month ago and then somebody who added their photo to the album a couple days ago has their image remain as the cover anyway because they uploaded to PF a week ago.
This would be super useful please, I can embed photos to my blog and link directly to Primfeed. I see thereis already a feature request but that is just for embedding within Discord when posting the link. What I mean is ability to embed sharing a code.
