Currently, deleting photos on Primfeed is permanent and immediate. This creates a risk of accidental deletions and makes it impossible for users to recover content removed by mistake.
I would like to suggest implementing a Recycle Bin / Trash system similar to other social media and cloud storage platforms.
Suggested functionality:
When a user deletes a photo, it is moved to a Recycle Bin instead of being permanently removed.
Deleted items remain in the Recycle Bin for up to 30 days.
Users can:
Restore photos at any time during that period.
Permanently delete individual photos immediately if desired.
Empty the entire Recycle Bin manually.
After 30 days, photos are automatically and permanently deleted.
Benefits:
Prevents accidental data loss.
Gives users confidence when cleaning up galleries.
Reduces support requests related to mistakenly deleted content.
Optional enhancement:
Display the number of days remaining before each item is permanently removed.
Allow bulk restore and bulk permanent deletion actions.
This feature would make gallery management safer and more user-friendly, especially for users with large photo collections.
