I just saw Primfeed official did a poll! I am so excited and was going to send a feedback asking for it but of course someone future-forseeing like Char-san aleady did way back in last year 🤭
I think it would be very valuable to have this in Primfeed!! Because it is guranteed to be answered by SL residents who are deep enough into SL!
If the poll has some options it, can be even boosted further:
Option to make poll directly associated to specific business (followers/subscribers can participte and counted) vs making it general public (anyone can participate) --- incentive to business subscribers/poll posters
Providing "polls" menu in Primfeed pages (to show polls only feed) or add "polls filter" --- user friendlyness + promoting polls
Polls having GMAA+ ratings also so the question can be targetted to audiences with various focus/tastes --- content segregation by user choice
Built-In, privacy focused contributor picker - while not allowing business to see who all participated to the poll, business could pick to N participants for prises to thank them (giving more incentive to participate) --- incentive to both business and participants + potentially replacing the promotional drawing
For the whole or individual poll choices, option to show average/median avatar-age group of the residents so the where resulting choice came from would be clear. If this idea is accepted by primfeed users, extend this to show a plot of per-avatar-age group answers (this itself can be another poll question?) --- Open data sharing with everyone but agregated for the privacy
What do you think? Some of them might be easier to implement than the others. Does some of them sound good idea? (sorry about looong comment)
