News Feed Limitations and Prioritization

When scrolling through the news feed, I noticed that the feed doesn't go very far back, limiting how many posts I can see. Additionally, the feed seems to prioritize showing most of the posts by the last person I followed, rather than giving me a balanced view of what everyone I've recently followed is posting / has recently posted.
