Bug on mobile IOS - backspace deletion deletes too much

A bizarre bug is currently (a few days) happening on the mobile “app” on my iPhone: when I comment and backspace to correct/change text, not a single letter gets deleted, but half or whole sentences.

Possibly a reason to consider: I was already able to insert emoticons before Primfeed activated that. Could there be a conflict between the IOS emoticons and Pprimfeed emoticons? NO idea what else this could be due to.
