This happened to me, too. I posted a landscape screenshot from Second Life with some text indicating when and where I'd be playing some music (I did not select commercial event, as I never expect any tips). The image was a screenshot of the sim in Second Life. Today I wanted to focus on the vibes/open space of the sim rather than just post a picture of myself. I re-read the rules three times, but couldn't really be sure exactly had gone wrong.
I came up with two main possibilities:
- Posting or referencing events of any kind is no longer allowed by non-pro accounts, so they can't go in the public feed. If this is the case, the rules should state that by saying something like "event flyers cannot be shared in the main feed."
- The screenshot of the landscape was not understood by the moderators to be Second Life content (or primarily Second Life content) for some reason.
Since what I'd do next time differs a lot based on which one of these two things was the removal reason, I'd really appreciate feedback when this happens.

I would love to see this sooner than later. I've had every one of my shares removed from the public gallery, even after going out of my way to be as posed and staged as other images that show "life in second life", only to have the image removed, possibly because my image is not as sexual as other images. Honestly, it has already made me stop trying to participate.

100% this.
Yesterday one of my pics (posted 2 days ago) content was moderated, as in removed from public gallery while my image was:
- SL content
- Rated A in accordance with the posting guidelines.
There was nothing in the docs that explained why my pic was removed from the gallery.
This is something which MUST be better because moderating without explanation other than "you did something wrong, go ahead and try to puzzle together what it could have been but we are not going to help you here" just pisses people off.

Luke Rowley Would be nice if the post in question wasn't locked down, so it could be re-classified too.

I agree. You have to read through the whole moderation page and try to figure out which one is the reason why your post was removed. Just state the reason for removal when removing the post. This makes it easier for people to correct mistakes and not make the same ones in the future.

Just wondering: Have you read the terms about what is allowed, where, and what not?
