For those on Windows, you can use Win+. or Win+; to pop up an "emoji inserter". Then you can start typing to quickly find the emoji you want; what you've typed will be replaced with the emoji you select.

There's probably a way to do that in Linux and in Mac but I don't use those OSes so I don't know.

Short of implementing yet-another-JS-based-emoji picker, I think adding a short text explaining this shortcut might be a good workaround 😉

Emojis are an accessibility feature, in addition to being fun!

As a neurodivergent person, I use emojis a lot on other social platforms, as it helps me express ideas and emotions in ways that might be more difficult via text alone, and helps me feel understood by those reading my posts. It also helps me greatly in understanding the tone and intent of others.

Please don't let this suggestion fall away!

As we have emojis now in secondlife it wouldnt be a mistake to make them also available in primfeed. I would even use the same set of emojis to make it closer to secondlife. Thumbs up for this suggestion.

If you right click on the text box while you're typing you should have an option in the menu called Emoji. You can insert them directly in your post without any problems - like this😉(see the attachment). Keep in mind this option is not available on browsers like Firefox for example

I assume they mean an emoji menu for desktop users, something like what Facebook & Discord provide in-post.
