I think this will be a difficult one to consider. But now with the gallery update I would like to consider dropping Flickr completely and stick with just Primfeed. There's something holding me back, which is:

I'd like to add my old photos/products to my Primfeed but have them appear in their original order - by editing their date - which is something Flickr actually allow us to do. I wouldn't wanna upload my older pictures/products and have them at the top of my feed and gallery, it would make a mess.

My suggestion would be to have it just a little bit different than Flickr. There we can edit both dates - so I'd suggest that on Primfeed it could show both the date it was uploaded (which we wouldn't be able edit for moral reasons) and also show the date it was taken (which we would be able to edit), and actually have the feed show the posts on the feed/gallery on the order it was taken.

Primfeed always gives people the choice to pick one or the other, but in this case (show in order by date taken or uploaded) I wouldn't like people to choose their own default, but the brand page to pick which the default for their own profiles individually, so they can have their brand be shown as they want it to be seen (which is why I'd also like the option for each brand page for default feed/gallery view to work like this).

So in summary:

• Have brand pages be able to edit dates - could even be a PRO-only feature;

• Pictures show both the date taken & date uploaded, if the date is the same then have it be shown just 1 - or maybe show just "date taken: xx xx xx" and the date uploaded upon hovering the mouse above it;

• Not able to change the "date uploaded", just the "date taken";

• The feed/gallery show by default "by date taken" so it represents the brand like it's supposed to - or have the own brand pick which will be the default for their own page, not the users (but they would be able to temporarily change with the dropdown menu).

The other option would be to make it work exactly like it does on Flickr, but I think that won't align with Primfeed's vision - in any case here's a brief explaination of how it works there:

It saves the date/time of upload as "date uploaded" and leaves "date taken" blank - in which we can edit both freely. By default the profile shows in order of "by uploaded", but there's the dropdown menu to change to "by taken" manually and I believe that setting is saved locally for that person on their browser only.
