I am happy to see this as a planned move. I just got a hateful comment on one of my posts. It would be great that when we get the ability to block, that it removes their comments too, like how it is with Flickr.

I heavily agree with this. As it stands already, people i have had blocked for a long time have already found my account here, even under a different name. It is extremely frustrating that I cannot block or mute them already and i already know as soon as the block function is available they are going to abuse it and hide before actual victims of bullying will be able to block their harassers. Meaning, on most sites once someone blocks you you have no way to see their account in order to block it and they will unblock at random to 'check' on you. I've been dealing with this on other sites for over a year now

As I am seeing people already abusing my inability to block them out, I must press further on this request. It is sad people can not just be adults and not bother one another when they know better. As we can not lock down our accounts, I need to at the very least be able to prevent their access with a block.
