How do you see the Public Gallery in the future, and why?
At the moment, the Gallery only displays Artistic art and Vendors ads, because the initial idea was to have an enjoyable experience while browsing it, as a gallery art.
However, a few feedbacks have been made regarding it, and I'm looking at ways of how it would be the best possible, for everyone.
Do you mind taking a moment to explain what would be your perfect experience in the public gallery for you, and why?

I agree with many of the points made by others. I would love the gallery to have:
The ability to separate ads from artwork
The ability to filter by maturity rating
The ability to filter by topic or tag or type. For instance: decor/fashion/artistic etc
-No limitation on how far down you can scroll
Arrows for previous and next when you click on an image so you can just view the next one and the ability to like and comment and move on to the next photo instead of having to go back and click several times; Also ability to like without having to zoom or go to photo screen
It might also be useful to have the ability to search within a certain time period. Otherwise you will never see older photos
Filter friends vs non-friends
At the moment I find it a bit confusing that there are three different feeds but not much clarification what is what exactly, especially on the app where there is no name for each type

A ♥ heart button on the thumbnails to make it easier to like the pictures (also add the like feature on double click). I drew it for better visualization.

I would like to see the classification system extended for not just maturity but also content i.e. blog feed, product ad, event, photography. As it is I feel the gallery will become overwhelmed with advertisements of one sort or another. And of course a search system that would allow filtering of that content so the member could see say all blogs or products or events or photography.

I've seen some feedback about people wanting a place to advertise event flyers, DJ stuff and giveaways - possibly add categories to the gallery so people can choose what they want to see? Like if they want to see it all, great, if theyre in the mood to shop vendors, pick vendors…if they want to see event and giveaways, choose that category…..I'm all for giving people a choice on what content they view, and I think categories could really help out with this.
I'd also love to be able to like/heart a post in the gallery page WITHOUT having to open it up all the way.

I think the biggest thing that I want in the gallery is like what Flickr has. When you mouse over an image thumbnail you get an overlay popup with the name, who it's by, star, comment, so on.
Since Primfeed has different features, I think it should have: Name, uploader's name, love, share, and bookmark. Or something along those lines.
I think that would MASSIVELY improve gallery scrolling.

I love that you can click the images to enlarge them but I think it'd be a really good add on if you could choose too go between pictures with arrows without having to go back and click them individually.
I will also add I'd love to be able to tag people who are in the images. I've yet to figure that out if you can. But if you can't I think alot of people would appreicate that as an option.

I'm not knowledgeable in how to set all this up. It's a huge undertaking so bravo on having something going already that's able to withstand the sheer amount of posts like this!
That said:
I'd like a way to split the ads from the 'social photos'
Let me filter a little more what I want to see. I need a way to distinguish from the two, maybe separate gallery links and those are able to be accessed from different tabs. And people mark which one they'd go into, like the AI/render tags.
Also, I'd LOVE a way to have adult/adult+ images spoilered. Let me have a toggle for that. Make it so when I hover my mouse or click on it, it gives me the clear thumbnail from a blurred image spoiler.
There's quite a few, uh. Graphic images that isn't really appropriate to just be popping up on the screen. I don't have to worry about it, as I work from home and don't have any little ones, but I don't always want to be scrolling and see orifices or genitalia just hanging out, lol. I'm all for free expression, but please, give us a toggle.
Hoverable descriptions/dates.
ALT messages for the sight impaired.

I personally think having a single catch-all public gallery isn't ideal. It would be nice to have a few different types of galleries that can be navigated easily.
An artistic gallery without any advertisements or promotions.
A vendor gallery for creators and store owners.
A promotional gallery for event advertising and giveaways.
When you upload a photo you should be able to choose the appropriate gallery. There's no reason for whatever you're posting to go into multiple categories. For example: General SL photography and blogger photos would be considered artistic. New releases and product updates would be in the vendor gallery. Event announcements, giveaways and designer/blogger searches would all go into a promotional gallery.
I would like to mention, while we're on the topic of galleries, that there is a limited scroll enabled with both the gallery and discovery. I have already submitted a bug report for it. Limited scroll keeps you from seeing everything people have shared. There should be a "load more" option so you can see more of what people have posted. Otherwise newer uploads continually cover up the previous ones, and no one gets to see them. What's the point of that?
That's my ideal view of a gallery experience I'd like to see here. Everyone will have their own opinions, and I may be repeating the same concepts others have already proposed. Thank you for the opportunity to share our personal views on something YOU created. ♥

Ariana Petrova I came here to say that. With one addition: forbidding text on images, and allowing a tag system, where 1-3 tags would display on the image. Tags are better than categories, while serving a similar purpose, and having no text on images (besides tags ofc) creates a more smooth browsing of a gallery, even if it's a vendor one. My proposal is just for points 1 and 2

I use the feeds this way:
Home: People I follow. I have learned to be picky about this, because you see EVERYTHING they post. This can be both good and bad (when everyone is sharing 'Primfeed Giveaways' from their favorite stores, it can feel a little redundant).
Discovery: Everything that is being posted right now - this moment - by anyone (within my chosen maturity settings). It can feel a little like 'trying to drink from a firehose', depending on what's being posted at any given time, but I have discovered so many new people/creators through the Discovery feature, too!
Gallery: I go to the gallery to look for new people to follow (art, landscape, etc.). I would like the Gallery 100% better if we took stores/ADs off of the of it all together.
I think you should give Stores/ADs their own tab; that way when you wanna shop, you can go to the Shop tab…..and when you just want to 'Second Life', you can go to the Gallery.
I can honestly say I'd use both (and enjoy both ADs more) if they were in their own separate tabs.
Also, it should be against the rules to keep reporting the same image over and over in the Gallery. I've seen both stores and residents abusing this.

What would be nice is when you click the 'previous' and 'next button' on either side of the picture, that it makes you go trough all pictures, not just the pictures the person posted.
This for the Gallery and the personal profiles.
