Constructive feedback on moderation consistency

Primfeed i've written the following in hopes that is taken as constructive criticism. i think the platform and it's users would benefir from a clear, publicly available set of content guidelines that users and moderators can consistently follow and refer to. right now moderation is very confusing, bikini or nude photos of mine on a beach are removed, being told my avatar looks underage, while other photos from the same avatar depicting similar levels of nudity remain. from a users perspective its very difficult to understand the error on their part.

consistency in moderation is important as the rules themselves. a transparent standard will help creators here know what is and isn't acceptable while also making moderation decisions feel more predictable and fair instead of subjective.

i understand my interests aren't everyone's cup of tea, and i respect the moderators have a responsibility to keep the platform within LL's policies but at the same time needs to evolve with online culture which has changed considerably over the years. the egirl aesthetic i embody, which has become mainstream through popular online creators and influencers are now a common form of self-expression. wether or not everyone enjoys that aesthetic, i believe moderation should be based on clear, objective standards based on modern times, not objective individual standards, interpretation or personal taste.

TLDR: looser moderation is not needed, just for there to be clearer more consistent application of it so creators here know what is expected of them.

    Agree that moderation is a mess and extremely confusing when it comes to which pictures they delete and which they don’t. Also would like to see moderation Id numbers attached to notifications like “mod#121” because often feels like it is targeted.

      It is not targeted at all, moderators are just doing their job regardless of who you are

      Hello Luke, i wasn’t expecting such a fast reply hah thank you very much!

      i’d just like to mention it isn’t only myself that thinks there is room for improvements. i’d like to say Primfeed is an amazing platform that does A LOT of things right, like stream lining and simplifying the process of posting content and receiving exposure, but even the best things can still be improved, Primfeed is definitely evidence of this.

      i personally am quite a bit confused on why certain things were deleted from my page, and when i reached out to iw support, it seemed as if the person i was talking to wasn’t entirely sure, and frankly didn’t believe what they were saying. i was told ponytails and pokemon made my content seem like “faux bait”. i was told i should remove at least 1 of those things or consider adding pubic hair to my avi. moments later i took new bikini and nude pictures, this time with public hair EDIT: (this pictures not containing ponytails or pokemon), posted it to primfeed and they were removed, plus my account got locked for 24h. upon getting back into my account i noticed the pictures with ponytails were still there, the pictures with pokemon were also still there, but the goal post seems to have been moved to pictures containing my plushies.

      there seems to be absolutely zero consistency in moderation and after following the exact recommendations of live primfeed support resulted in further action taken on my account.

      i love this platform, i’m new to sl photography and enjoy it tremendously, i just need to know what i can post with absolute certainty

        I’m certain Primfeed can keep improving but we need to keep in mind that I don’t have Facebook or Flickr’s funds to do things!

        One part of the moderation we try to be consistent and, sometimes fails because it’s very context or picture dependent is the teen/very young adult that tries to publish content that we don’t feel comfortable with, for adult content.

        I’m not saying that it’s the case for you, but sometimes we have to make choices to prevent “faux bait” or adult teenager content and in this case, we just try to prevent Primfeed to have any issues with the legal hosting content that might look like underage adult content

          i’ve updated my profiles both iw and on Primfeed so that there is no confusion, my avatar is 25 years old and roughly 5 foot 9. With that context, and that my avatar is fully developed, could i have my beach photos reinstated? otherwise i’m to understand that my content will just always be at a constant risk of removal and action can be taken on my account seemingly at random. this definitely isn’t ideal..

              thank you Luke, and ofc your team, i know there are many bad actors on the platform and moderating primfeed is 24/7. i’d like to apologize for where i was wrong, like posting with my plushies, it won’t happen again.
