Every user on Primfeed receives their notifications in-app and that’s how you know what’s happening on your network and profiles, and it’s time to make notifications even better

Mobile and browsers notifications

Primfeed can be installed on any mobile device via your browser. It’s not an actual mobile application but the plan is to make it as close as a mobile application, these are called PWAs.

PWAs are interesting because it allows to use the website as mobile apps but without the hassle of managing the Apps Stores rules, apps submissions and rules, or maintaining another complete codebase.

Starting today, if you install Primfeed on your phone or your browser, you will be able to receive notifications directly on your devices.

These notifications can be managed from your account settings, under Notifications. If you are part of a business page, the notifications are personal and separate from your avatar account.

More control

On top of the mobile notifications, each notifications can now be enabled to send you messages in-world, in-app or push.

Note that some restrictions applies to a few notifications to prevent spam.

Store notifications are now per user

With this update, the notifications that a store receive are now separate for each owner and managers.

Meaning that if a manager read their notifications, the owner and the other managers will still see the “unread” notifications they didn’t see.

Performance improvements

Some performance improvements has been made overall on Primfeed, but notably:

• Bookmarks are faster to load

• Liked posts feed is faster to load

• Accessing profiles
